Prior, Joselin gained experience in planning destination weddings when she was at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya as well as leading sales efforts at a wedding decor company in Cancun. How and when did you get your start in the wedding industry?
This year will be 11 years now! And how... I always loved it and asked for an opportunity in a Hotel that I used to work at (Casa Turquesa) in Cancun. Then moved to another Hotel (RIU) where they had lots of weddings and my former boss taught me a lot! Once I've learned to handle the volume of weddings, I've moved to another property (Moon Palace Cancun) to learn how to execute a wedding. Once I managed how to execute all types of weddings I wanted to learn what goes behind the planning, so I learned how to produce weddings, what happens behind stage, acknowledge more of what goes behind destination weddings and their needs. Now, I am teaching others what I've learned these 11 years and of course, always continuing learning about new trends and how to impress couples on their special day.
Why did you become a wedding planner?
When I had my first wedding and I saw that I could help make a couple happy, it blew my mind. It was a fulfilling moment. Not everybody can say that they work to truly deliver dreams and smiles. Love to see true love and happy tears. Is really an indescribable feeling.
What is your favorite moment at each destination wedding?
At the end of it all, when we all are celebrating and have those big ol' smiles on our faces. You can see that is a "We did it moment” picture that we are so proud of!
How long have you been at Hard Rock Los Cabos?
August 2018 - Almost one year before the resort opened in the summer of 2019!
What is your favorite venue on property?
All of them! Beach, Terraces, garden... Love them all! <3
What is the best spot for a photoshoot at Hard Rock Los Cabos?
The garden at sunset, our rocky walls, the beach, around the palms... too many options

Toro! The Argentinian empanadas are AMAZING :P

What are your top 3 tips for couples looking to plan a destination wedding?
1) Look for a Hotel that can offer a variety of things not only for you but your guest, such as different day and night activities.
2) Venues and backups, all of your events must have a backup. Better safe than sorry :) Although, we have extremely few rainy days each year!
